Jirapa MP Urges Unemployed Teachers to Accept Rural Postings

The Member of Parliament for Jirapa Constituency, Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah, has issued a call to all trained unemployed teachers to accept postings to rural communities, emphasizing the importance of equitable educational development across the region.
Speaking at the launch of the Jirapa Educational Improvement Fund held in Jirapa today, Hon. Dapilah highlighted the government's commitment to transforming the educational landscape of the area. He announced that the Community Day Senior High School in Hain will soon be converted into a boarding institution, a move aimed at improving access and retention of students in the district.
The Jirapa MP revealed plans for substantial infrastructural upgrades at local schools. In December 2025, a collaborative project involving his office, the Regional Minister, and the GETFund will commence, focusing on constructing a boys' dormitory, a girls' dormitory, new classroom blocks, and an administrative building for the Community Day Senior High School.
Further infrastructural developments include the commencement of a 12-storey classroom block at Ullo Senior High School, designed to accommodate the increasing student population. The GETFund also assured the continuation of construction works on incomplete facilities at Jirapa Senior High School, ensuring the completion of key infrastructural projects.
In a bid to enhance technological capacity, Hon. Dapilah announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art ICT center at St. Francis of Assisi Senior High School, valued at GH₵10 million. This facility aims to equip students with vital digital skills, aligning with national objectives for modernized education.
The MP emphasized that these initiatives are part of a broader strategy to elevate educational standards and ensure that rural communities benefit from quality infrastructure and resources. He urged trained teachers to embrace postings in underserved areas to foster inclusive educational growth across the constituency.
These developments signal a significant stride towards educational revitalization in Jirapa, promising improved learning environments and expanded opportunities for students in the region.
