Read below his (James K Donkor) speech:

On behalf of the entire Society, from the topmost hierarchy to the bottom and all who stood in elections today, I want to thank you once again for doing what is officially required, for showing your heart and independent-mindedness in an exercise like this.

I am particularly grateful for the confidence you have reposed in me to be the next person to occupy that very enviable seat of the chairman to as it were contribute my quota to the development of the society and to our region.

On a very special note, permit me to indicate that in this exercise there is no winner, there is no vanquished. We have done this together and as a family, we will reunite even much stronger to be able to pull ourselves through despite the difficulties.

I especially want to declare my intentions to rely on the outgoing executives especially the regional chairman whose stead I have occupied now that I will continue to work in tandem with him, consult him every minute, every hour, every day to ensure that things are running smoothly for all of us.

I know he has lots and tons of ideas to share and a lot of unfinished businesses he was getting ready to do but for this decision, he might not be the one in the lead but can still play a meaningful role from the back by pushing us to be able to do the work.

So Alhaji once again congratulations for giving me that competition on a friendly note. So on behalf of the team we thank you very much and call on you to let us do this together. Yes, together we can!
