The Upper West Regional Manager of GHACEM, a leading cement manufacturing company in Ghana , Mr. Brian Sotaa Seidu, has called on officials of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and Ghana Education Service (GES) to prioritize the timely submission of cover notes for communities engaged in self-help projects. He emphasized that delays or failure to provide these essential documents often hinder communities from benefiting from the free cement donations offered by the GHACEM Foundation.
Mr. Seidu explained that despite the Foundation’s allocation of thousands of bags of cement to support deprived communities, many communities fall short of meeting the necessary documentation requirements, thereby missing out on the assistance. He urged both GHS and GES officials to expedite the process to ensure that these communities receive the support they need to complete their development projects.
The GHACEM Regional Manager issued a stern warning to the public about falling victim to fraudsters who exploit the free cement initiative to extort money. He clarified that the entire process is completely free of charge, and no individual or community should pay any money to benefit from the GHACEM Foundation’s support.
Mr. Seidu’s appeal underscores the importance of efficient administrative procedures and vigilance against scams to ensure that the intended beneficiaries of the Foundation’s programs receive their support without undue delay or exploitation.
