The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region on behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama has made a cash donation of GHS20,000 to the Wa Catholic Diocese to help offset cost of the just-ended Catholic Bishops Conference which was held in Wa.

The donation was made by the Upper West Regional Chairman of the NDC, Abdul Nasir Saani (Bunas) together with some Regional and Constituencies Executives as well as sympathizers, on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the residence of the Wa Catholic Bishop.

The Upper West Regional Secretary of the NDC, Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozung, said the donation was in fulfillment of the former President's promise to supporting the conference.

“We are here to make this donation of GHS20,000 on behalf of the Former President, John Mahama and the NDC as our widow’s mite and support to the annual Assembly of the Catholic Bishops Conference held in Wa,” the Secretary said.
