The District Chief Executive for Daffiama - Bussie - Issa (DBI) District, Mr Nadi Imoro Sanda has disclosed that the Kamanhegu-Bussie road has been awarded on contract and work will soon commence on the road to make it accessible for commuters.
Mr Imoro made this known in his short address during a handing of a tricycle ambulance to the Kamanhegu CHPS compound.
The DCE said the Akufo Addo government is working tirelessly to improve the road networks in the country which Kamanhegu is not excluded.
He said the project shall be completed by the end of this year and those that would be affected during the construction shall be compensated.
He added that the construction of the road will help improve productivity in the area and also enhance quality health service and education.
Earlier, the resident of Kamenhegu in the Bussie East Electoral Area lamented over the bad nature of roads linking the community to other communities in the area.
They bemoaned that during the raining season they find it difficult to access market in Bussie with their farm produce, causing them to rot in the farms.
