Dakulada.com, a business company based in the Upper West Region, has organised a road safety summit for Cambuu riders in Wa to promote responsible riding and help reduce road accidents involving tricycles.
The summit brought together Cambuu riders and key stakeholders, including officials from the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), and the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC).
Participants received education on road safety, traffic regulations, and responsible riding practices aimed at improving safety on the roads.
Speaking to Info Radio, Chief Executive Officer of Dakulada.com, Maxwell Maakuu, said the initiative was inspired by the increasing use of tricycles as a convenient means of transportation and the growing need to improve safety standards among riders.
"As a company operating in the tricycle business, we consider the safety and well-being of riders and their passengers a top priority," Mr. Maakuu said, urging participants to apply the knowledge gained during the training in their daily operations.

The Wa Municipal Commander of the Narcotics Control Commission, Justine B. Abesig, advised riders to be vigilant when transporting passengers' luggage. He encouraged them to inspect bags and make inquiries about unfamiliar packages before accepting them, explaining that such precautions could help prevent the transportation of illicit drugs and other prohibited items.
Participants who spoke to Info Radio described the summit as timely and informative, noting that it had enhanced their understanding of road safety, traffic regulations, and responsible riding practices.
They commended Dakulada.com for organising the programme and appealed for similar training sessions to be held regularly to reinforce safe riding practices among Cambuu operators.
