All health facilities in Lambussie have access to potable water-DCE

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Lambussie District Assembly in the Upper West Region, Mr Naluri George Gerard has boasted of his achievement in the health sector.

According to him, the district has ensured that there is 100 per cent coverage of water in all health facilities.

Speaking to Info Radio in Lambussie, Mr Naluri mentioned that “there is no health facility in Lambussie without potable water. We have decided as a district to invest in the health sector and to ensure that health workers who have accepted to work in the various health facilities in our district have some basic comfort.”

He disclosed that the assembly recently built and handed over several health facilities to some communities in the district.

“And then yesterday I handed over the site to the contractor to construct a modern clinic in Karni.

During the covid-19 period we also gave fuel to the district health directorate to go out and vaccinate our people so that this deadly disease could not have anything to do with them,” Mr Naluri added.

He added that the Member of Parliament for Lambussie, Mr Bright Bakye Yelviel Baligi also donated 5 motorbikes and 20 palpation and delivery beds.

Meanwhile the DCE is satisfied with the progress of work on the Agenda 111 project in the district.

He said the project is moving in a fast pace and most of the structures have been roofed.
