Admuda Declares Bid for Wa Central NPP Secretary Position

Adams Mahamood, widely known as Admuda, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Constituency Secretary of the New Patriotic Party in the Wa Central Constituency ahead of the party’s upcoming internal elections.

In a declaration dated May 22, 2026, the current Deputy Constituency Secretary said his decision follows extensive consultations with party stakeholders across the constituency and beyond.

According to him, his four years of service as Deputy Secretary have equipped him with the experience and commitment needed to take on greater responsibility in strengthening the party’s grassroots structures.

Mr. Mahamood highlighted his long-standing involvement in the party’s electoral activities, organizational development, communication strategy, and youth mobilization efforts spanning more than two decades.

His electoral experience includes serving as a polling agent during the 2000 and 2008 general elections, participating in the 2004 voter registration exercise as a mobilizer, and acting as a ballot receiving agent during the 2012 and 2016 elections. He also served as Trainer of Trainers for polling agents in Wa Central and coordinated the constituency’s V16 operations in 2016.

On the organizational front, he has held several leadership positions within the party and affiliated youth groups, including TESCON Organizer at NJA College of Education, Organizer for the Regional Youth Wing, Deputy TESCON Coordinator, and 2nd National Vice Chairman of the Young Elephant Movement Ghana.

He also served as Regional Coordinator for various pro-NPP youth and campaign movements in the Upper West Region, including Patriots Forum Ghana, Action Youth for Nana Addo, and Action Movement for Nana Addo.

In communication and campaign operations, Mr. Mahamood has been a member of the Regional Communication Team since 2009 and participated in the party’s campaign teams during the 2012, 2016, and 2024 elections.

Beyond party work, he has served as Political Assistant to Hon. Dr. Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomin since 2013 and was aide to Alhaji Mustapha Goveir from 2014 to 2022.

Outlining his vision for the secretariat, the aspiring secretary pledged to establish a more functional, inclusive, and communication-driven administrative system for the constituency.

He said his administration would focus on efficient record-keeping, improved communication between party executives and grassroots members, increased youth and women participation, and stronger mobilization at the polling station level.

Mr. Mahamood further stressed the need to project the party positively within the constituency to attract new members and strengthen unity ahead of the 2028 general elections.

“I believe that with the right attitude, structures, selflessness, unity of purpose, courage, and sacrifice, victory shall be ours in 2028,” he stated while appealing to delegates and party members for their support, prayers, and encouragement.
