Residents of Metii, a farming community in the Gurungu Electoral Area of the Wa West District can now look forward to improved healthcare access following the groundbreaking of a new Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound. The project, which has been long demanded by the community, officially commenced with a sod-cutting ceremony, signaling the beginning of construction.

The Wa West District is pioneering a transformative approach to healthcare delivery through the pilot implementation of the “Network of Practice” (NoP), a strategic initiative aimed at fostering greater collaboration among formal health facilities, traditional health providers, and private practitioners.
