The residents of Kanyini in the Nadowli-Kaleo District are facing a severe water shortage.
According to Madam Millicent Bamzinae, a resident of the community, the population of the community is much higher than the available water sources, making it difficult to get water.
She added that despite numerous calls to the government, nothing has been done to address the situation.
The only Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound in the community is in poor condition and lacks working equipment, according to the residents.
Madam Juliana, another resident, said that they sometimes have to travel to nearby communities to access health services.
The residents also expressed their concerns about the poor state of the roads in the community and the lack of EU road projects.
They said that it is challenging to access health facilities and market centers.
Furthermore, some farmers in the community have appealed to the government and NGOs to provide assistance to enable them to farm.
