Proprietor complains about non-payment of school fees

The One Touch International School on Thursday held its end of term closing ceremony for learners, teaching and non-teaching staff.

The end-of-term closing ceremony is an important day in the One Touch International School event calendar.

The closing ceremony was a time to thank God, teachers, learners and anybody who made the term a successful one.

The ceremony saw the presentation of awards to learners who excelled in various subjects.

The proprietor of the School, Mr Bondigna Nurideen thanked God for “giving us this day as we are marking the end of the term.”

He used the opportunity to acknowledge the staff, learners and parents who have their children in the school. Mr Bondigna expressed concern about the nonpayment of school fees by some parents.

“Any school that you see growing well, it depends on how parents students and pay much attention to the payment of fees. Our school has been doing a lot but we realize the payment of fees in terms of the other private schools in town but every end of the term some parents always intentionally always send some arrears home,” he stated.

He expressed satisfaction with the academic performance of the learners for the term. He promised the best 3 in each class an exciting excursion to some of the most beautiful tourist sites in the region and beyond.

Mr Bondigna Nurideen admonished the learners to help their parents as they go home for the Christmas break.

“As you are going home this time be mindful about what you are receiving, what gets into your mouth and who called you. Please don’t walk in the darkness and make sure that parents are aware of wherever you are going,” he added.
