MP for Wa West marks his birthday with a clean-up exercise


Member of Parliament for Wa West Constituency, Superintended (Retired) Peter Lanchene Tuobu has organized a clean-up exercise at the Wechiau District Hospital to mark his 53rd birthday celebration.


Speaking after the clean-up exercise, the Wa West Legislator said he categorically chose to mark his birthday with a clean-up to address the sanitation issues in the Wa West District.


He also pledge that, he will continue to support the hospital to a befitting district hospital.


The Member of Parliament also called on the Wechiau Naa to preach on good hygiene.


He said good hygiene is crucial to good health, therefore the need for Wechiau Naa to call for unity among the people of Wechiau and its environs irrespective of one’s political color to ensure the cleanliness of the Wechiau Township.


Peter Lanchene Tuobu further stated that, one of his vision is to make the Wechiau, one of the cleanest town’s in the Country.


The paramount Chief of the Wechiau Traditional Area, Naa Alhaji Imoro Nandom Gomah II expressed his sincere gratitude to the MP for taking the step of tackling sanitation in the Wechaiu community.


He promised to support the MP to realize every initiative that will contribute to the progress of the Wechiau community and the entire Wa West District.
