Bomadi International School in Wa Gets New I.T Laboratory

The Bomadi International School in Wa has received a new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory with twelve computers to help improve the teaching of ICT at the school.
Addressing stakeholders and parents who attended the inaugural ceremony of the edifice, in Wa on Thursday, the Proprietor of the school, Alhaji Adamu Dasaana indicated that the school was established to imbibe moral knowledge and skills into the children.
“Research is paramount in learning and the internet provides, in most cases the most reliable means and source of secondary information.

“Without the techniques of research through the computer and allied technologies, our children would have being handicapped in so many ways”, he explained.
He underscored the importance of ICT to the holistic development of children hence the decision of the school to establish the laboratory, with the aim of becoming the most preferred school for

children and parents in the region in the near future.
“As a school, we are given ourselves a few years from now to be the giant in the field of education in the region.
“We target that by the time we come here to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we should be the pride of the Upper West Region”,Alhaji Dasaana observed.
He, therefore, urged government and parents to support the school to achieve its goal by helping the school with the needed facilities and learning materials.
Mr. Suleyman Mujeeb, Wa Municipal Public Relation Officer for Ghana Education Service (GES), on behalf of the Wa Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) assured the school that the government will provide the infrastructure and materials to enhance teaching and learning.
He explained that the government had identified the private as a key partner in realizing the development needs of the country.

The Wa Municipal Commander of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Franklin Kramoh, urged parents and teachers to provide the needed security for their children by ensuring that the right people pick children to and from school in order to prevent kidnapping.
