BLISS EYE CLINIC SCREENS EYES OF HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN AT DUONG


Bliss Eye Clinic, a Private Eye Clinic in Wa through its Blissful Sight for Kids project, has conducted free eyes screening for over 500 children at Duong and its surrounding communities in the Nadowli-Kaleo District. The exercise which took place at the weekend at Duong was the initiative of the Duong-Pogenaa, Pogenaa Rosemary Bangzie.

Speaking to Info News after the exercise, the team leader of of the Blissful Sight for Kids and Manager of Bliss Eye Care, Dr. Al-hassan Zakarea Balure, said children who turned up for the screening were diagnosed of different kinds of eye conditions.

In all 509 children were screened, with 382 of them having infective Conjunctivitis, 12 Refractive Errors, while ten children were diagnosed with suspected glaucoma.


Dr. Zack said the patronage of the program was rather below expectation. He also expresses dissatisfaction about the lackadaisical attitude of parents about the eyes condition of their children.

Adults who were not covered by the program were rather offered wellness cleaning. Pogenaa Rosemary Bangzie explains the rationale behind that step.

Parents of some beneficiary children express their satisfaction about the program. Felicia Tampaah, Diana Nabiiribong, Theresah Nakoma and Doris Yengnaa spoke to Info News team and thanked Bliss Sight for the gesture.
