Bliss Eye Care holds free eye screening for children at Kabgba

The Bliss Eye Care, a private eye clinic in Wa, at the weekend, organized free eye screening for the children at Kangba and surrounding communities.

The initiative was in partnership with Corporate Club Ghana.

Over 700 children benefited from the screening exercise.

The Manager of Bliss Eye Care, Dr. Zakaria Al-hassan Balure, an optometrist, said the reason for free eye screening for deprived communities is to offer the same quality healthcare to people in disadvantaged areas.

He said it was also to help the school children with eye challenges regain their eyes.

He indicated that it was important to identify children with eye challenges on time for treatment.

Dr. Balure, thus, urged parents and guardians to take advantage of the screening for the children.

Those whose eyes were detected with challenges were given spectacles and drugs to them.

Mr. Bob-Milliar Gordon, a Member of Corporate Club Ghana (CCG) said aside the screening, the CCG supported about 150 girls with sanitary pads.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude to Corporate Club Ghana and Bliss Eye Care for the free screening exercise and the sanitary pads donated to some girls.
