Dr. Al-Hassan Zakaria Balure, CEO of Bliss Eye Care, has highlighted a common misconception regarding the use of eyeglasses, emphasizing that they are not exclusive to the wealthy. In a recent statement during the opening of its new office complex in Wa, Dr. Balure underscored the importance of prioritizing eye health and urged the public to treat eye conditions with the same seriousness as any other medical issue.
He attributed the high cost of eyeglasses partly to various tax components, calling on government authorities to reconsider taxation policies. "Reducing taxes on eyeglasses could significantly make them more affordable for the average person suffering from eye problems," he noted.
During the unveiling of Bliss Eye Care’s new ultra-modern clinic, Pognaa Beatrice Kuunfaa, Chairperson of the event, reaffirmed the importance of accessible eye care in the Upper West Region. She emphasized that Bliss Eye Care aims to complement existing healthcare services, including those provided by Ghana Health Service and other private providers, rather than compete with them.
The event was attended by numerous stakeholders and well-wishers, who expressed strong support for Dr. Balure’s vision and encouraged the public to patronize the services offered by Bliss Eye Care. Their words underscored the collective effort to improve eye health access within the community.
