Assembly Member disappointed in District Assembly’s projects distribution

Mr Evans Gandibu, the Assembly Member for Bussie East Electoral Area in the Daffima-Bussa-Issa (DBI) District, has expressed disappointment with the manner in which the District Assembly projects are distributed.

According to him, the District Assembly (DA) had distributed about 4,000 street light bulbs in the recent past without his Electoral Area receiving a single streetlight bulb.

In an interview with Info Radio, Mr Gandibu said he has written several proposals to the DA appealing for potable water, and school infrastructure among others but the Assembly did not grant a single request for his Electoral Area.

He indicated that he has used his own money to buy five street light bulbs for the market, health facility and other vantage points within the Electoral Area.

Mr Gandibu said there is no borehole at the Bussie police post and the police officers stationed at the post have to trek a long distance before they can have access to water.

He appealed to the District Assembly to be much fairer in the distribution of resources and projects across the district.
