The Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University in Wa has graduated a total 365 students. The graduates were conferred with Higher National Diploma,HND in Engineering, Applied Science and Technology, Applied Arts and Business Management. Out of this number 36 obtained first class honors, 180 obtained second class upper division, and 146 obtained second class lower division, while three are graduating with a pass.
Speaking at the 4th Congregation, the Chairman of the Governing Council Chief Suleman Nabila says the congregation is one of the statutory function of the Technical University act and he advice the graduates to work hard.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Elias Sowley, advised the graduates to employ soft-skills which are very important at every organization and institution.
The Vice Chancellor outlined some stalled projects at the school and called on individuals, agencies to help build hostels which are a major problem to them.
The Upper West Region Minister Dr. Hafis Bin Salih admonished the graduates for efforts they have made and the challenges ahead of them. he said the government is aware of the infrastructure challenges confronting the institution and would be taking the steps to addressing them.
