Wa West has the richest land for farming, but one of hunger-riddled districts in Ghana
The Wa West District of the Upper West Region has been described as one of the districts with rich agricultural land for farming.
It is said to have all the potentials to feed itself and even feed other parts of the country but is among hunger-riddled districts in the country.
The disclosure was made over the weekends by Saboge Adams, the Chieftaincy Portfolio Head of Mini Ghana at a stakeholder engagement organized by the Mini Ghana at Dorimon.
Mr Saboge therefore wonders what the cause of the unfortunate situation could be.
Saboge Adams further avers that most of the people of the district are farmers but even feeding themselves is always a challenge.
He said they have identified the challenges to farming in the district from a research they have conducted and share same with gathering.
Saboge Adams concludes that the challenges they face in farming can only be addressed by consensus.
