Upper West Fire Service Sensitizes Residents on Fire Safety

Upper West Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service have sensitized residents on fire safety during the service one week celebration of Safety Week.

Speaking to info Radio the Deputy Upper West Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service Assistant Divisional Officer Grade One, ADO I Mr Iddrisu Imran, , said his outfit engaged the media and residents on fire disasters during the safety week celebrations .

This according to him, will help reduces incidences of fires in the region .

He disclosed that the command do not receive prank calls in recent times compared to the previous times. Mr Imran laments that self-firefighting is on the rise in the region. He thus called on the residents to contact the Ghana National Fire service when there is any fire outbreak and desist from self-firefighting.

According to him, the Ghana National Fire service are always on standby to help residents in moments of fire disasters to avert the lost of lives and properties.
